Highway 53 Gospel Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the light of Jesus to Israel and the nations, showing the Jewish people that Jesus – Yeshua is the promised Messiah. Founded by Jeff Morgan, a Jewish believer living in Israel, the ministry was born from years of street conversations and personal encounters with people searching for truth.
The name comes from Isaiah 53, the prophetic chapter describing the Suffering Servant, and from the “Highway” spoken of in Isaiah 40 and 35 – a path prepared for the Lord, a way of holiness where people can find redemption and healing. Highway 53 represents that path where we discover salvation through the One whom God sent to bear our sins and bring us peace.
As a Jew, Jeff’s calling is rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures, where God promised to make his salvation known to Israel and to the ends of the earth (Isaiah 49:6). The New Testament confirms this calling: “The Gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). Sharing this message with the Jewish people is not only an act of love but obedience to God’s plan revealed throughout Scripture.
Through weekly conversations, interviews, and testimonies filmed on the streets of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and beyond, the ministry creates opportunities for honest dialogue about faith, prophecy, and redemption. Each conversation is designed to reveal the heart of Scripture and point people to Yeshua as the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Scriptures
We believe that the Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures) and the Brit Chadasha (New Covenant) are the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Both together reveal one unified story of redemption. The Scriptures were written by men under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and are without error in their original writings in all that they affirm theologically and in matters of faith and practice, faithfully preserved through history and confirmed by the words of Yeshua himself. They point to and find their fulfillment in the promised Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus).
God
We believe in one eternal God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is Creator of heaven and earth, sovereign over all, and worthy of all worship. Though one in essence, he has revealed himself in distinct persons who act in perfect unity.
The Messiah (Jesus)
We believe Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died as an atonement for sin, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven. On Passover he spoke of the New Covenant promised through the prophets, sealed in his own blood for the forgiveness of sins. Through faith in him we are reconciled to God and given new life by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, and indwells every follower of Yeshua. The Spirit empowers believers to live godly lives, bear witness to the Messiah, and build up the body of Messiah through spiritual gifts and love.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Yeshua alone. It is not earned by works or merit but received through repentance and trust in the finished work of the Messiah. Those who believe are forgiven, justified, and adopted into God’s family, both Jew and Gentile, as one new people.
Israel and the Nations
We believe God’s covenant with Israel is everlasting and his promises to the Jewish people remain in effect. God chose Israel to bring light to the nations, and through Israel came the Messiah.
Believers are called to love the Jewish people, pray for them, and share the Gospel so they may know their Messiah. The restoration of Israel and the salvation of the nations are one redemptive plan, revealed through Yeshua and fulfilled as the Gospel goes to the Jew first (Romans 1:16).
The Return of Messiah
We believe Yeshua will return bodily to judge the living and the dead, to establish his kingdom, and to reign in righteousness. All who belong to him will live forever in his presence, and God’s promises to Israel and the nations will be fully realized in the world to come.
What We Believe
We believe the Scriptures, both the Tanakh and the New Covenant, tell one unified story of redemption that points to Yeshua (Jesus), the promised Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world.
There is one God, Creator of all, who has revealed himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Yeshua, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and established the New Covenant promised through the prophets.
Salvation is a free gift of grace, received through faith in Yeshua alone. Through him, Jew and Gentile are united as one family in God’s plan of redemption.
We believe God’s covenant with Israel remains everlasting. Our calling is to love the Jewish people, pray for them, and share the Good News of the Messiah to the Jew first and also to the nations (Romans 1:16).
We look forward to the return of Yeshua, who will reign in righteousness and bring complete restoration to Israel and the world.
